Biography:
Collie Fulford is a writing and rhetoric scholar who uses complementary methodologies to study the writing practices and educational histories of adult undergraduate and graduate students. She contextualizes participatory ethnographic case studies with analysis of enrollment patterns and public rhetorics about adult students to address this heterogenous group’s underrepresentation in scholarship. Her work identifies the critical need for more age-inclusive institutional cultures that include broadening approaches to higher education research and policies, student services, and teaching practices.
