Description:

The project will, first, contribute to foundational knowledge regarding post-acute care for individuals with ADRD; while general post-acute care has received much attention, little is known about how to improve post-acute care for ADRD populations. Second, it separately examines the top two, most-used post-acute care settings for people with ADRD. Third, this study provides a causal estimate of the relationship between specialization and outcomes and constructs a quality measure that can be easily adapted into practice. Given the serious gaps in Care Compare quality information identified by recent research, finding reliable quality information to help patients identify highquality HHAs and SNFs is essential for improving outcomes.
