Description:

The overarching goal of the Center for Aging and Policy Studies (CAPS) is to improve the health, well-being, and independence of middle-age and older adults by directly addressing some of today’s most pressing issues facing those adults and the families that care for them. Critical issues are the growing disparities in middle-age and older adult health across geographic areas and population subgroups, and the changing needs of the older adult population in terms of familial support and caregiving. CAPS will achieve its important goal by conducting innovative and rigorous research, providing state-of-the-art training to scientists conducting that research, and widely disseminating their research findings to other scientists, decision makers, and the public.
