Biography:

Grace Wankiiri Orsatti is an Associate Professor of Law at Syracuse University College of Law, where she teaches Trusts and Estates, Bioethics, and the Law of Healthcare Decisions. Her scholarly work sits at the intersection of health law, aging, and bioethics, with a focus on end-of-life planning, decisional incapacity, and the legal and ethical dimensions of healthcare decision-making for older and vulnerable adults. Professor Orsatti is particularly interested in advancing justice through interprofessional collaboration and experiential learning, including medical-legal partnerships and volunteer advocacy initiatives that serve underrepresented patients. Her research and teaching reflect a commitment to bridging legal doctrine, bioethical theory, and clinical practice in ways that center the dignity, autonomy, and relational needs of aging individuals.
