CAPS Biography:

I am an Assistant Professor of Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell. My research focuses on health disparities among older adults and family living arrangements. My research has examined race and nativity differences in health insurance, mortality, and disability for older adults, especially immigrants. I am also studying how racial differences in living arrangements and family proximity have implications for the health and wellbeing of older adults. My research on spatial proximity between parents and children aligns with the CAPS signature theme of family and intergenerational support and the cross-cutting theme of place, while my work on minority older adult health disparities aligns with CAPS other signature theme of health and well-being and cross-cutting theme of specific populations.
