Merril Silverstein Appointed as the Inaugural Cantor Chair in Aging
Joining the affiliates of the Aging Studies Institute will be the inaugural holder of the Marjorie Cantor Endowed Professorship in Aging, honoring a pioneering gerontologist who was the mother of Syracuse Chancellor Nancy Cantor.

ASI Professor Douglas Wolf Participates in Webinar on Balancing Employment with Child and Elder Care
Douglas Wolf was one of three panelists on a December 13, 2011 Webinar entitled “Balancing Employment with Child and Elder Care: The Implications of Changing Workplaces and Families.” This webinar was organized by the Government and Public Affairs Committee of the Population Association of America (PAA). The Association of Population Centers (APC) and the PAA work together to educate policymakers about population research outcomes and the federal agencies that support population research. These objectives are achieved through the work of the APC/PAA Government and Public Affairs Committee (GPAC).
