Title: Mechanisms Motivating Intergenerational Support

Bio: Martin Lakomý is a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at the Aging Studies Institute, primarily located as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics of Mendel University in Brno. He earned a Ph.D. in sociology from Masaryk University in 2019, focusing on the activities of older adults and their quality of life. Lakomý uses quantitative methods to examine the social consequences of population aging in family and labor market behavior, and their connection to value changes. He also leads a grant on the effect of digitalization on older workers and publishes in Ageing & SocietyEuropean Journal of AgeingActa SociologicaInternational Journal of Comparative ResearchSocial Science Research, and others.
