Grant Description:
The goal of this study is to conduct cross-program analysis that links Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Medicaid/Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) administrative records to determine the extent to which the timing of SNAP benefits are associated with the timing of emergency room claims for childhood asthma and injuries. Additional analyzes will examine whether there is a dose-response relationship associated with the size of SNAP benefits.
