Grant Description:
The purpose of this study was to determine how motivated individuals middle-aged to older adults were to take action for their hearing problems. Motivation could not be predicted by their hearing thresholds. Individuals were more motivated to address their hearing problems if their level of personal distress from their hearing problems was higher and they did not minimize their hearing loss.
