Spirituality and Prosocial Values in the Absence of Religion among Millennial’s and their Families

Grant Description:

In this project, we seek to examine the religious orientations of the Millennial generation within the larger context of their social values and spirituality, as well as in comparison to family members in older generations. We hypothesize that an important segment of Millennials consists of non-religious individuals with pro-social values and spiritual leanings. Further we expect these characteristics in nonreligious individuals will be increasingly less common as one moves up the generational ladder to their parents and grandparents
