Religious Transitions, Transmission and Trajectories among Baby-Boomers and their Families

Grant Description:

This study collected and analyzed quantitative data from participants in a long-term longitudinal study of multigenerational families to examine: transitions in religiosity of Baby-Boomers from pre- to post-retirement, whether transmission of religiosity from Baby-Boomers to their adult children has diminished compared to the generations that preceded them, and the bidirectional relationship between religiosity and mortality risk. As Project Manager, I was responsible for managing data acquisition for the study, including coordinating with the University of Wisconsin Survey Center and managing the collection of mortality data from the National Death Index, for estimating statistical models that examine change, and for training graduate research assistants.
