Paid Family Leave and Work-Eldercare Tradeoffs

Grant Description:

The project will evaluate whether the passage of state Paid Family Leave (PFL) policies facilitate middle-aged adults in balancing competing responsibilities of informal caregiving and formal employment as well as the extent to which effects of PFL policies are heterogeneous based on various individual and care recipient characteristics. This project is led by Kanika Arora, a former ASI doctoral student who is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Iowa.
