Biography

Sarah Gillen Redmore is currently Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of the Interior Design Program in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Redmore earned a BFA in Interior Design at SU in 1990, a BA in Psychology from SUNY Oswego in 1996, and is pursuing an MBA at Whitman School of Management at SU (2014). She has 16 years of professional experience in commercial interior design, and specialized in healthcare, education, and corporate market segments. She began teaching at Syracuse University in 2004 and has developed a strong professional practice component to the curriculum, including local community engagement projects that allow students to experience working with real clients. Redmore brings together her passion for business, psychology and design in her teaching, and is presently exploring a growing area of the interior design industry that is focused on relationship between Gerontology and Design.
